- If it sticks together or is hard as cardboard, do not peel. Soak for about 10 minutes in warm water. Better yet, wash with normal laundry as described below.
- Machine wash with liquid detergent and/or ammonia
- avoid bleach.
- Do not tumble dry.

The product is used wet.
- PVA sponge is not affected by mold or odor. If this happens, rinse with ammonia as shown above. If the product still has mold (brown, black, or green spots), soak in a 5:1 solution (5 parts water to 1 part liquid bleach) for about 5 minutes. NOTE: Bleach may cause the color of the product to fade. Check the resistance!
- Store wet in a clean original plastic container.
